Train-the-Trainer and Other Learning Designed for Educational Service Centers
Educational Service Centers (ESCs) play a crucial role in Ohio’s statewide human capital improvements—and we know that the growth unfolds and spreads over time. The Ohio Human Capital Resource Center (HCRC) provides training and support optimized to these needs. Whether ESC staff are focused on human capital or supporting it as one of many areas with member districts, these offerings aim to meet the needs of the moment.
About Our Approach
ESC staff attending our sessions shared this feedback:
“The information and resources shared will have a great impact in supporting our employees and address retention. Also, the collaboration and brainstorming with other districts was beneficial for new ideas and perspectives.”
“I liked the out-of-the-box, practical ideas that were shared in order to benefit our organization's recruitment efforts.”
“The materials and training are helping me to reframe our hiring practices in order to provide a better and more supportive system.”
“The program exceeded my expectations in equipping me with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources. The resources are well-structured, and the trainers are knowledgeable and engaging.”
Train-the-Trainer Sessions
Working in conjunction with the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA) and ESC staff survey input, the HCRC is organizing stand-alone FREE training sessions and opportunities aligned with OESCA gatherings already planned. We held our first session at the OESCA Fall Conference on Sept. 11, on the topic of talent retention. Keep an eye on this page for more opportunities to learn, share, and grow.
Community of Practice
Based on topics of interest to ESCs, the HCRC is planning community engagement throughout the year. Sessions are virtual and 90 minutes long, to enable a deep dive into learning and time for networking and engagement on best practices. Click on the links below to register.
